For the Sauce – 4 tbsp low sodium soy sauce – 1 tbsp chili oil – 1 tbsp hoisin sauce – 1 tbsp ginger freshly grated – 1 clove garlic minced – 1 tsp mirin or other rice wine For the rest of the dish – 1 lb beef cubed – 3 cups broccoli cut into florets – 1 tbsp cooking oil – 1/2 cup beef broth – 1/2 tbsp cornstarch – 2-3 cups cooked rice

Ingredients

STEP 1

Mix the sauce ingredients together in a small bowl. Mix the beef with 1 tablespoon of the sauce. Reserve the rest.

STEP 2

Turn on saute mode. Add cooking oil. When hot, saute the broccoli for about 5 minutes. Remove the broccoli from the pot. Cancel saute mode.

STEP 2

Add the beef and beef broth to the Instant Pot. Lock the lid and turn the vent to sealing.

STEP 4

When the time is up, manually release the pressure and remove the lid. Add the corn starch to the sauce that you set aside. Stir until smooth.

STEP 5

Press saute mode again and add the broccoli back to the pot. Pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli. Stir well and allow the sauce to thicken for about 3 minutes.

Serve this Beef & Broccoli with  Instant Pot Basmati Rice.
